Accreditation and State Approval

Naples College of Osteopathic Medicine (Naples COM) received approval for state licensure from the Florida Commission for Independent Education (CIE) at its May 2026 meeting. In August 2026, Naples COM was granted Candidate status by the American Osteopathic Association’s Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA), marking an important step in the college’s development and progress toward accreditation.

Naples COM is preparing its application for Pre-Accreditation for review at COCA’s December 2026 meeting. At that time, COCA will determine whether to schedule a site visit for early 2027. Naples COM currently holds Candidate status; Pre-Accreditation has not yet been granted.
